This fall the WLAM Domestic Violence Committee teamed up with the “I-Purse Project,” as a holiday giving project, where the “I” represents integrity and wholeness, in order to provide a purse packed with hygiene products and other essentials to our sisters in need. For many people the purse is a wardrobe necessity that others may take for granted. It can provide an individual with a sense of polished “put-togetherness” as well as a functional way to carry women’s essentials.
WLAM members were encouraged to set up their own collections around the state. Thank you to those of you who have made donations already of new or gently used purses packed with hygiene, cosmetics, and other personal items!
