Collect Cell Phones for Domestic Violence Awareness Month

WLAM SPONSORING COLLECTION OF USED CELL PHONES TO SUPPORT
NATIONAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH

In honor and support of National Domestic Violence Month, WLAM’s Domestic Violence Committee is sponsoring a cellphone buyback program to raise money for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. All WLAM members are encouraged to inquire into whether their firms or places of business will collect used/unwanted cell phones which can then be mailed to the sponsoring vendor who will then recycle or sell them, with all proceeds going to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

Program information can be found at http://www.cellularrecycler.com/ncadv/supportTools.php. There is also an option to order a free cellphone receptacle to hold the cellphones.

Members are also encouraged to wear Purple every Friday of the month as a symbol of peace, courage, honor and dedication to ending domestic violence.
