WLAM is excited to announce that our Centennial Gala was selected as one of NCWBA’s two national “Honorable Mentions” for the 2019 Outstanding Member Program Award.
The NCWBA Outstanding Member Program Award is given to women’s bar associations to recognize innovative projects, programs and services for their members or the bar association itself. Click here for more information about the NCWBA awards, including previous award recipients.
“WLAM is ecstatic to be selected for this award. It has been incredibly exciting to celebrate our 100th anniversary,” said WLAM President Donna MacKenzie. She continued, “The Centennial Gala allowed us to celebrate and honor more than 350 women who have led our organization to achieve this remarkable milestone. There is no other organization in the state of Michigan that has provided that many leadership opportunities for women lawyers.”
The Award will be presented to WLAM at the NCWBA’s Awards Luncheon at its national Women’s Bar Leadership Summit, which will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 in San Francisco. Click here for more information on the summit.
