On September 6th the GLBR co-hosted “Launching Legal Leaders Sunset Sail” with the State Bar of Michigan Young Lawyers Section. The sail was out of Bay City on the Appledore tall ship, down the Saginaw river and out into Saginaw Bay. During the 3-hour sail, the 23 attendees received advice from seasoned lawyers George Holmes of Caro, Julie Gafkay of Frankenmuth, and Susan Brady of Saginaw. This was a great event where young women lawyers were able to gain some wisdom and build professional relationships in an intimate setting.
On October 4, 2018, GLBR hosted cocktails at one of our favorite local establishments, Bourbon + Co, located downtown Saginaw. It was a wonderful evening with nearly 20 people in attendance involving networking, artful cocktails and artisan homemade pizza! In addition we hope to welcome some of our guests as soon to be new members!
