WLAM's 96th Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday, April 26th.
Building Bridges for the Advancement of
Women is a theme of collaboration, working together with law firms,
the State Bar of Michigan, legislators and leaders to further advance
employment equality and to continue to strengthen our justice system as a
whole for the good of society. We will celebrate significant
milestones and honor state and regional leaders for their contributions.

Keynote Speaker: Nell Kuhnmuench, Director, Governmental Consultant Services, Inc.
Ms. Kuhnmuench has been voted Michigan's top lobbyist and twice-voted
the state's most effective woman lobbyist by independent political
surveys. She served for eight years as Chief of Staff for two Speakers
of the Michigan House of Representatives. Ms. Kuhnmuench is widely
recognized for her expertise on health-care, insurance and environmental
issues. Ms. Kuhnmuench holds a bachelor's degree in business
administration from Michigan State University and a law degree from the
Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
Kuhnmuench received the 2010 ATHENA Award (Greater Lansing.) The ATHENA
Award is given each year to a woman who has devoted time and energy to
her community and paved the way for women's careers in the future.

This is a great opportunity to demonstrate your commitment to the
participation and advancement of women in the legal profession.
