It is held on Saturday\, June 15th\, at 5\:00 p.m. at Fifth Third Ballpark (the Whitecaps Stadium) just before the Whitecaps game. This event has benefited the YWCA of West Central Michigan for all 29 years. The YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism\, empowering women and girls\, and promoting peace\, justice\, freedom and dignity for all. The YWCA provides services that respond to issues near and dear to the legal community\: domestic violence\, sexual assault and child sexual abuse. It also provides empowerment programs for girls. Each year\, the YWCA provides on-going service to more than 4\,000 individuals (1\,300 families).

Tickets!! Charity game tickets are a steal\, as the purchase of a ticket gains entry to both the softball game at 5\:00 p.m.\, and the Whitecaps game immediately following at 7\:00 p.m. Tickets are $15/adult (13 and over) and $10/child (3-12). Children 2 and under do not need a ticket. Because the proceeds of the game benefit the YWCA\, a non-profit organization\, a portion of each ticket purchase is tax deductible. For every adult ticket purchased\, $4.50 is tax deductible (the difference between the charity ticket cost &amp\; what the Whitecaps charge for a game ticket). No portion of a child’s ticket is tax deductible\, because we actually charge less than the Whitecaps for child tickets (we charge $10.00\, while Whitecaps’ game tickets typically cost $10.50).
